I am always looking for healthy recipes for dinner. I have tweeked an old recipe that I had for macaroni and cheese. It was a hit!
Crockpot Mac and Cheese
1 8oz box of multigrain or whole wheat macaroni
1 12oz can fat free evaporated milk
3 egg whites
1/4 cup melted margarine
1 1/2 cups fat free milk
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups lowfat cheddar cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions. Spray inside of crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Mix all of the ingredients in the crockpot and cook on low 3 to 4 hours.
Let me just say that this was a hit with everyone. Comfort food on a cold day.
